Taco Blend Marinated Flank Steak

Ingredients

1 – 2 lb. flank steak (or skirt steak)

3 Tbsp. Kinder’s Taco Blend Seasoning

1/4 Cup olive oil

1/4 Cup water

Instructions

Step 1

For every 1 lb. of flank steak, mix 3 Tbsp. The Taco Blend Seasoning with the oil and water. Mix thoroughly.

Step 2

Place the flank steak in a large bowl or resealable bag. Pour seasoned slurry over steak, coat evenly and place in the refrigerator to marinate for 1 to 2 hours.

Step 3

Preheat the grill on medium-high heat or set the oven to broil. NOTE: If broiling in the oven, be sure that the oven rack is at least 6-7 inches away from the broiler flame. You will also want to place the steak on a baking sheet with a roasting rack.

Step 4

Remove from the refrigerator and let the steak get to room temperature before cooking, about 15-20 minutes.

Step 5

Place flank steak in the oven or on the grill and cook for 12-15 minutes, flipping halfway. Cooking time can vary based on the thickness of flank steak. To ensure the ideal steak to your liking, use a meat thermometer (Rare: 125 degrees, Medium rare: 135 degrees, Medium: 145 degrees). Once done, remove from heat and let rest for at least 10 minutes.

Step 6

Slice flank steak against the grain and serve in tortillas or on a salad with your favorite toppings. Enjoy!
