Kinder’s Savory Holiday Waffles


2 Cups all-purpose flour

1 Tbsp baking powder

2 Tbsp Kinder’s Buttery Steakhouse Rub

1 Cup unsalted butter, melted

3 eggs, separated

1 1/2 Cups milk

6 thick-cut bacon strips, cooked and crumbled

1/2 Cup green onions, diced

1 Cup mild cheddar cheese, shredded


Step 1

Preheat waffle iron to medium-high heat.

Step 2

In a medium size mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder and Kinder’s Buttery Steakhouse Rub. Mix thoroughly to combine dry ingredients.

Step 3

In a separate bowl, mix milk, egg yolks and melted butter to combine wet ingredients.

Step 4

In another bowl, beat egg whites on high for 3-4 minutes, or until light and fluffy.

Step 5

Add your wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir until consistency is smooth.

Step 6

Gently fold egg whites, bacon, cheese and green onions into your batter mixture.

Step 7

Ladle batter onto your waffle iron according to manufacturer recommendations. Close waffle iron top and cook until waffle is golden brown on both sides.

Step 8

Serve warm and enjoy!
