1 lb flank steak – skirt steak can also be used
3 tablespoons Kinder’s Carne Asada Rub
2 tbsp olive oil (optional)
Sprinkle Kinder’s Carne Asada Mexican Style Citrus Marinade on steak evenly. Optional: Lightly coat meat with oil first to help seasoning stick.
Place in the refrigerator for 30 minutes to an hour.
Remove from the refrigerator and allow meat get to room temperature before cooking. About 15-20 minutes.
Preheat grill to medium-high heat.
Place flank steak on grill and cook for 10-12 minutes, flipping half way. Cooking time can vary, use a meat thermometer and cook to desired doneness: Rare: 125 degrees, Medium rare: 135 degrees, Medium: 145 degrees.
Allow steak to rest at least 10 minutes prior to slicing.
No grill? No problem. You can use the broiler on your oven. Be sure to use a baking sheet and roasting rack, and make sure meat is at least 6-7 inches from broiler flame.
Slice steak against the grain and serve in tacos or on top of a salad. Enjoy!
