Ingredients
Coleslaw Mixture
About 6 cups thinly sliced green cabbage (from a 3 1/2-pound head)
1 Cup finely sliced red onion
1 Cup fresh apple, julienne (thin matchsticks)
½ Cup grated carrot
½ Cup white sugar
¼ Cup Kosher salt
Dressing
¼ Cup mayonnaise
1/3 Cup Kinder's Bourbon Apple BBQ Sauce
2 Tbsp apple cider vinegar
1 Tbsp mustard (Dijon, yellow, or grain, depending on preference)
1 Tbsp Kinder's The Blend Seasoning
1 ½ Tbsp granulated sugar
Instructions
Combine the cabbage, onion, carrot, and apple in a large mixing bowl.
Sprinkle the mixture with sugar and salt, then toss to combine. Let the mixture sit for 10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld, then rinse the mixture in a large strainer under cold water to remove excess salt and sugar.
Use a salad spinner to dry the mixture. If you don't have a spinner, spread the mixture onto a baking sheet lined with paper towels or a clean kitchen towel and pat dry. Once dry, return the mixture to a large bowl and set aside.
In a separate mixing bowl, combine mayonnaise, Kinder's Bourbon Apple BBQ Sauce, apple cider vinegar, mustard, Kinder's The Blend Seasoning, and granulated sugar. Whisk the ingredients together until fully incorporated and smooth.
Assemble the coleslaw by drizzling the dressing over the cabbage mixture and toss well to coat evenly.
Once the coleslaw is thoroughly mixed, serve immediately or refrigerate until ready to enjoy.
