BBQ Chicken & Apple Crock Pot


4 bone-in chicken thighs

2 apples, cored and cubed (Gravenstein or gala, recommended)

1 yellow onion, sliced

1/4 Cup apple cider or juice

1 Tbsp vegetable oil

1/3 Cup Kinder’s Mild BBQ Sauce

1/2 Tbsp Kinder’s The Blend

  1. Heat oil in large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Brown chicken thighs on both sides and season with Kinder’s The Blend.
  3. Add browned thighs to slow cooker with chopped apples.
  4. In same skillet, cook onion until translucent and stir in Kinder’s Mild BBQ Sauce and apple juice.
  5. Add onions and sauce to slow cooker and cover. Cook on low heat for 4 hours or until chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F degrees.
