1 lb flank steak - skirt steak can also be used

3 tablespoons Kinder's Carne Asada Rub

2 tbsp olive oil (optional)

  1. Step 1

    Sprinkle Kinder's Carne Asada Mexican Style Citrus Marinade on steak evenly. Optional: Lightly coat meat with oil first to help seasoning stick.

  2. Step 2

    Place in the refrigerator for 30 minutes to an hour.

  3. Step 3

    Remove from the refrigerator and allow meat get to room temperature before cooking. About 15-20 minutes.

  4. Step 4

    Preheat grill to medium-high heat.

  5. Step 5

    Place flank steak on grill and cook for 10-12 minutes, flipping half way. Cooking time can vary, use a meat thermometer and cook to desired doneness: Rare: 125 degrees, Medium rare: 135 degrees, Medium: 145 degrees.

  6. Step 6

    Allow steak to rest at least 10 minutes prior to slicing.

  7. Step 7

    No grill? No problem. You can use the broiler on your oven. Be sure to use a baking sheet and roasting rack, and make sure meat is at least 6-7 inches from broiler flame.

  8. Step 8

    Slice steak against the grain and serve in tacos or on top of a salad. Enjoy!
